Brands

Curious about what brands we have? Take a gander here, or give us a call and ask!

Footwear

The bread and butter of every run specialty store! We carry a wide range of brands and will never try to oversell you on gimmicks or recent fads. We tell it like it is and stand behind our footwear choices. Our return policy is lenient and fair to ensure we can stay in business, but also gives you the chance to actually try these shoes how they were intended to be used; ON THE RUN!

Recovery

We’ve all finished a longer run / walk and uttered the dreaded “I’m gonna feel that tomorrow.” With some recovery gear, you’ll be feeling as fresh as a daisy; or at least be comfortable while you hobble to the bathroom and back. From foam rollers to sandals, we’ve tried most of what’s out there and picked some of the best to bring in the shop.

Apparel & Accessories

Even though some of us would rather go out in jorts and a cutoff t-shirt year-round, apparel is an essential part to enjoying a run and being safe (especially in our Northeast winters). While some of Ian’s favorite pieces tend to be “dated” by todays fashion standards, we try to stock a variety of pieces that have functional value and may work well casually depending on your style. That being said, apparel is a hard sell at any business and rarely sells well, so we supplement this by placing orders for you and have a no deposit and no obligation policy. Want to try a jacket? Let us order it and no hassle if it fits weird in the shoulders or isn’t the right color.

Socks

Socks and other accessories also go a long way towards an enjoyable run; we would argue that socks are one of the least considered pieces of gear and are potentially the most important. Although you may enjoy those floppy knee high cotton socks your grandma gave you a decade ago, we strongly recommend choosing one of the brands below before your next marathon. Your feet will thank you for it.

Nutrition & Hydration

Some of you trail folks may favor folding up a quesadilla leaving an aid station after downing two sodas to boot, but for the rest of us mere mortals, a nutrition plan is a much safer option. While we all may not get to consuming 90g-120g of carbohydrates an hour like the professionals do, we can sure try with a fistful of gels or some of the other options we have. On the hydration front, one of the debunked myths about hydration is that water is all you need on a hot day. In reality, electrolytes are vital to staying upright while exercising in any condition and just drinking water alone can lead to hyponatremia (a sodium imbalance for those without a doctor in their back pocket).
